Jones Bridge Community Garden
Tired of not having enough sun to grow those veggies? Well come and join your fellow gardeners (new and experienced) at the community garden. We offer 24 4'x6' plots and 12 8'x10' spaces. These are on a first come first serve basis to club members. Plot costs are paid for in labor: working in the garden on a Spring and Fall work day and keeping your assigned plot planted and weed free throughout the growing season. Its a great way to get to know other members who share a joy of digging in the dirt and growing fresh veggies and herbs for your family.
This is the 3rd year of the garden and we are excited to have 3 garden plantings: March for an early Spring garden: peas, cauliflower, mustard greens, radishes and turnips. Late May garden: tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, beans , melons and any other great veggie you can think of and the final August planting: broccoli, beans, peppers.
There is on site composting and water and we even have a greenhouse that we are using to start our own plants from seed. We look to provide a pesticide free location for you to grow some yummy treats! We do not require that every plant be organic but we are trying to be as green as possible and we do not allow any dangerous "ides" inside the garden gate.
