Jones Bridge Board of Directors

President: Mike Johnson
Mike has been a member of Jones Bridge Swim & Racquet Club since 2002.
He was elected to the board in 2003 and served as the club treasurer for 5 years.
Michael is currently serving as our club president. He is married to his best friend,
Brenda, and has two sons, Christopher and Sean. Michael is a CPA and manages the
Atlanta office for the firm Myers and Stauffer. He is a rabid Dawgs fan and is often
found in Athens on Saturdays in the fall. Michael is also a political “junkie”, having
worked in or around government since he was in college.

Vice President: Catherine Reidy
Catherine and her family have been members of JBRS since 2004. She and her
husband John have three children, Emma, Caroline and Sarah. All three girls
have been on the Jones Bridge Swim Team and Catherine was the volunteer
director of the swim team from 2005 through 2008.

Secretary: Stan Elsner
Stan has been a member of Jones Bridge Swim & Racquet Club since 2007 and has
captained the Jones Bridge ALTA Men’s and ALTA Mixed Doubles C-level teams
since 2009. He has been married to Linda for 19 blissful years and they have
two granddaughters. Stan is originally from NYC, calling Atlanta his home
since 1976. He is retired from Sprint after 26 years. Currently, Stan and
Linda are running a dog-sitting business from their home. In addition to
tennis, Stan keeps in top physical condition by bicycling and swimming.

Treasurer: Wayne Strayhorn
Wayne and his wife Jodi, have lived in the area for more than 15 years and were
members of another local club before changing (about 10 years ago) to
Jones Bridge as the club offered a better value and more serene environment
than other clubs in the area. Their son Andrew developed his swimming skills
as a result of participating in the Jones Bridge Swim Team during his elementary years.
It was exciting to see him experience such rapid growth from
“Okay, I’ll go but I’m not getting in the water” to exclaiming that he was jumping
off the diving board in such a short time. He and mom enjoy cooling off in the pool
on hot summer days and all enjoy a quick pool- side meal at the end of the day.
Wayne is beginning his third season as treasurer of the club.
For the past five years, he has been Controller for BeavEx,
a national same day courier network headquarted in Atlanta.

Membership: Sharon Steingruber
Sharon and her family have been members of JBSR since 1999. An Atlanta native,
I grew up in Chamblee and married David, a Dunwoody grad.
We have loved living in Peachtree Corners. We have 3 kids, Jordan,
who is in college and two younger girls, Anna and Sara.
All three have been on swim team and Jordan was a coach for a couple of years as well.
I love hanging out with friends, being with my family and meeting new people.
I am a huge fan of the Dawgs and Chick-fil-A tea!
I work in sales with Great Data and also part time at Simpson and also keep
very busy with lots of volunteering at school, church and the pool.

Social: JJ Shaw
JJ and her family have been members of Jones Bridge Swim & Racquet Club since 2005.
JJ was also a member of the club during her childhood and participated on and
ultimately became an Assistant Coach of the Barracuda Swim Team. This is her 1st
year serving as Social Director. JJ is married to Steve and has two children,
Sage (8) and Savannah (6). JJ keeps extremely busy being a stay at home mom.
She enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and most
of all entertaining!!

Pool: Bart Clayton
Bart and his wife Shelley have been members of Jones Bridge Swim and Racquet
Club since 2004 and live in the Williamsport subdivision. This is his first
experience in working with the club and the board in any official capacity.
They have 2 children, Ainsley (8) and John (5). Bart is a financial services
professional and has worked in retail investments his entire career. He and
his family are avid beach people and have a love for the water. In his spare
time Bart is a big sports fan, college & pro football in particular, and he
likes to sneak in a round of golf on occasion.

Tennis: Todd Hudson
My wife, Erin and our four kiddies, Hallie (11), Anna (9), Sam (9), and Grace (6)
have been members of the club since 2006. This is my first "wading into the pool"
of Board position duty, but I am happy to be asked to contribute to the club.
We very much enjoy our time at the pool and courts. Our kids have all been on one swim
team or another, and our son, Sam, has recently taken to swatting the fuzzy yellow balls
and getting better at it every week!
My professional life is quite varied. I have done everything from putting together technology
networks to remodeling to financial advisor and insurance agent work (my current job).
My hobbies are inspired by my mom playing & singing folk songs to me as a kid and a great high
school choir teacher, I have always dabbled in playing music and singing in several groups and
solo situations. My second hobby is tennis. I enjoy the social aspect of this sport and also
enjoy the success our club teams have enjoyed for several years in a row.

Building & Grounds: Patrick Reed
Patrick has been a member of Jones Bridge Swim & Racquet Club since 2009.
Patrick and his wife Whitney have a new son, Logan, and two Boston Terriers-
Cabby and Ron. Patrick works in technology licensing at Georgia Tech
Research Corporation. He moved from Baton Rouge in 2006. Their's is a
house divided- Patrick is a Vols fan while Whitney is an avid LSU Tiger.
